SUMMARY:Healthy Boundaries : Sexual Misconduct Training
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Healthy Boundary Workshops will focus on Sexual Misconduct Training.\nThis is a required training for new pastors in the presbytery, and shall be taken as a refresher course every 36 months for all Teaching Elders, Commissioned Ruling Elders, Inquirers, and Certified Christian Educators who are members of the Presbytery of Baltimore. Per G-3.01016, this training is also required for the members of all councils every thirty-six months. The class will be facilitated by Laura Hollister.\nThe purpose of the spiritually-based “Healthy Boundaries” program is:\n\n+ To increase awareness of the need for healthy and appropriate boundaries in the clergy/congregant or spiritual teacher/student relationship,\n+ To illustrate the impact of appropriate vs. inappropriate boundaries in promoting effective ministry,\n+ To provide clergy and spiritual teachers/leaders with guidelines and suggestions for developing appropriate boundaries and necessary self-care strategies.\n\nThe dates and locations are as follows:\n+ Friday, May 23 – In-person at Central Presbyterian Church (7308 York Rd., Towson)\n+ Saturday, May 24 – In-person at at First Presbyterian Church of Bel Air (224 N. Main St., Belair)\n+ Friday, June 27 – To be held online – Participants will be required to keep their cameras on during training. Deadline for registration is Sunday, June 22 at midnight.\n+ Saturday, October 18 – In-person at Central Presbyterian Church (7308 York Rd., Towson)\n+ Thursday, October 23 – In-person at  First Presbyterian Church of Howard County (9325 Presbyterian Circle, Columbia, MD)\nALL trainings will be from 9:30 am – 3 pm.
