Baltimore Presbyterian Women is open to all Presbyterian Women, whether your church has an active women’s organization or not. PW members are those who choose to participate in or be supportive of PW in any way. PW intentionally seeks the membership of women inclusive of ages, races, and geographical locations so that PW reflects the rich diversity of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
PW Purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study; to support the mission of the church worldwide; to work for justice and peace; to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Honorary Life Membership

An Honorary Life Membership in Presbyterian Women is conferred upon a woman (or man) in recognition of faithful service in some area of the church’s work. Moderators, teachers, leaders, officers, pastors and missionaries have been among the recipient of this honor.
The funds derived from Honorary Life Memberships are used for Presbyterian Women leadership training costs, support of leadership development events for women, and training leaders for mission interpretation. Honorary Life Membership funds support Presbyterian Women’s Leadership Development grants.
About the Pin Design
An honorary life pin and personalized certificate will be mailed to the recepient. The pin design shows caring, supportive hands represneting women who seek to build an incusive community of Presbyterian Women. A leaf represents growth of our personal and corporate response to Jesus Christ as we nurture our faith. A dove indicates our work for peae in our own lives and throughout the world, shown in a globe. At the center of the design is the cross, by which our sins are forgiven and we are freed to live in Christ, who is the center of our lives. The overal design is of a butterfly, the symbol of newness in Christ.
Form Request
You may request a copy of the Honorary Life Membership form from any member of the Coordinating Team. Please allow six weeks from receipt of the form and check for processing.
