The Presbytery of Baltimore offers several scholarships to assist individuals and congregations in ministry through the church:
Academic Scholarships
Robert F & Rosa M. Ferguson Scholarship
This $5,000 Student Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to deserving high school students who wish to further their education at an accredited college or university. Deadline May 15.

Ruth Gosnell Education Fund
The fund provides interest free loans to full-time college juniors, seniors and graduate school candidates for the 2017/2018 academic year. All applicants will be given impartial consideration regardless of religion.

Bridges Ministers’ Trust Scholarship
Applicants must be under the care or registered as an Inquirer with the committees on Preparation on Ministry of the Presbytery of Baltimore, Newcastle Presbytery, or National Capital Presbytery to receive consideration. Bridges Fund is open to any matriculated theological student or intended theological student at the following academic institutions only: Union Seminary (Richmond), Princeton Theological Seminary, McCormick Theological Seminary, Louisville Theological Seminary, Columbia Theological Seminary, and the following colleges: Davidson, Hampden-Sydney. Deadline April 25.

The Jongewaard Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by Fallston Presbyterian Church for seminary students from Baltimore presbytery preparing for ordination for ministry of word and sacrament or for commissioned lay pastor. Fallston has allowed the presbytery to administer this scholarship so applications may be sent to the Associate for Spiritual Leader Development: dschmidt@baltimorepresbytery.org.

Robert J. Turner Memorial Fund
This memorial fund is established to enable young members of churches in the Presbytery to participate in foreign or domestic mission projects aimed at expanding understanding of the diverse nature of Jesus Christ’s Kingdom. Deadline May 15.

Herbert D. Valentine Millennium Fund for Grants, Scholarships and Mission Endeavors
This fund is granted to individuals engaging in mission studies and to groups planning to strengthen their faith community’s efforts to “care for the least of these.” Deadline May 15.

Catawba Camping Scholarship
The Catawba Camping Scholarship is a scholarship administered by the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic and distributed annually to presbyteries within the Synod.
These funds are to be used to support a camping scholarship program for minorities with first preference being for African Americans desiring to attend a Presbyterian Camp. Second preference for other minorities, and then to the general population.
