Ministry Groups are an essential part of the Presbytery’s mission. They strengthen the bonds among our congregations by encouraging Christian Formation; Congregational and Leader Development; Missional Engagement, the Creation of New Faith Communities; as well as, Prophetic Witness and Action for Reconciliation. The six Ministry Groups are facilitated by conveners from each region and supported by presbytery staff.
Mountain Maryland
Mountain Maryland Ministry Group churches are located in Western Maryland. They focus on projects to enhance spiritual development in the church and projects to increase resources in their surrounding communities, such as local feeding programs and assisting with emergent needs near each congregation. Member churches in this ministry group include First of Frostburg, Barrelville, First of Cumberland, St. Andrew, Hagerstown, Hancock and Emmitsburg.

Susquehanna Parish
Churches in the Susquehanna Parish Ministry Group enrich communities in North Baltimore and Harford counties. The ministry group focuses on spiritual leadership, hunger programs and projects that encourage care of God’s creation. Member churches of this ministry group include Highland, Havre de Grace, Grove, Christ Our King, Churchville, First of Bel Air, Good Shepherd, Chestnut Grove, Fallston, Franklinville and Bethel.

In the Loop
The in the Loop ministry group is a collection of (12) churches in and around Baltimore city. In the beginning of 2018 The in the Loop ministry group decided to merge with “The Apostles Disciples” ministry a spontaneous ministry group that wanted to seize on the energy around race, class and poverty and support of Presbytery mission themes. Member churches of this group include Knox, Grace, Trinity, Dickey Memorial, Madison Avenue, Hunting Ridge, Brown Memorial, First & Franklin, Light Street, Cherry Hill, Lochearn and Kenwood.

North Baltimore Presbyterians
North Baltimore Ministry Group’s work focuses on an annual summer camp program and long term Habitat Humanity project to the Woodbourne-McCabe neighborhood in North East Baltimore. Churches involved in this project include Ashland, Babcock, Central, Faith, Govans, Hamilton, Havenwood, Maryland, Perry Hall, Roland Park, Second and Towson.

Hebron, Bridge (Glen Burnie Korean) Catonsville, St. John United, First of Howard, Christ Memorial, Hope, St. Andrews Mt. Airy, Frederick Presbyterian, and First of Westminster.
