The Idea
We often look for meaningful ways to help – especially in places where needs are high and access is limited. That’s why we’ve created an Amazon Wish List to support our partners in Cuba. Through this list, you can directly provide essential items, from school supplies and medical basics to hygiene kits and tools, that can make a real, tangible impact.
Why This Matters
Cuba faces unique logistical and economic challenges. Access to basic goods, especially imported ones, can be constrained by trade restrictions, import costs, and transportation hurdles. That means many local organizations and families operate with very limited resources.
By contributing an item via the Wish List:

- You ensure that deliveries go where they’re most needed, bypassing some of the trade or procurement barriers.
- You offer support on demand – the items in the list reflect real, up-to-date needs.
- You help stretch already thin budgets for local partners, so their funds can go to other critical needs (operations, outreach, etc.).
What’s on the Wish List
The list includes items that range from daily essentials to materials that can support education, health, and community work. Examples include:
- School supplies: notebooks, pens, art supplies
- Hygiene items: soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, first aid kits
- Health and wellness: vitamins, basic medical supplies
- Tools and maintenance: batteries, small repair kits
- Items for children: educational toys, puzzles, games
Every item counts – even small ones. A few pens or a pack of notebooks can lighten the load for a teacher or community educator.
How You Can Help
- Click the link to the Wish List
- Pick an item that fits your budget – everything from small ($5–$20) to larger ($50+) is helpful.
- Purchase and select the shipping address as the one listed in the wish list (this ensures direct delivery to the partners in Cuba).
- Share! Consider posting the list on your social media, sending it to friends, or including it in newsletters. The more eyes, the more support.
- Let us know once you’ve contributed, if you’re comfortable – that way, we can acknowledge your generosity and avoid duplication.
Transparency & Accountability
We believe in open, honest collaboration. After items are delivered, we’ll share updates (photos, videos, stories) of how they’re being used on the ground. Our goal is to show exactly how your donation translates into real-life benefit – whether it’s better conditions in a classroom, improved hygiene in a community center, or smiles on kids’ faces.
Why This Approach Works
- Direct impact – You choose what to send, and it goes straight where it’s needed.
- Avoids overlap – You can see what’s already been requested or purchased.
- Empowers local partners – They don’t have to stretch limited resources to access goods.
- Encourages collective contribution – Many small gifts add up.
