Called Meeting of Presbytery
At the request of the Nominating Committee, Moderator Andrew Connors has called a meeting of the Presbytery for 11 am December 12, via Zoom, for the purpose of electing a Young Adult Advisory Delegate to the 226th General Assembly in 2024.
The meeting should not last more than a few minutes but is very important as all commissioners and delegates must be elected by December 31. The Nominating Committee is pleased to put forth the name of Elizabeth Paulk (RE from Second Presbyterian Church and the daughter of Rev. Jenn DiFrancesco). Her biographical statement is below. Thank you in advance for attending this short but important meeting. Please make sure your presbytery commission(s) are aware of this meeting and register.
“My name is Elisabeth Paulk and I am a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church in Baltimore. I am currently a sophomore majoring in English at Smith College and currently working towards teacher licensure in the state of Massachusetts. Throughout my time at Second, I have participated in numerous leadership and volunteering opportunities. My senior year of high school, I served on my church’s session as a Youth Elder as we worked to find an interim pastor. Additionally, I volunteered as a youth counselor for my church’s Vacation Bible School from 2017 to 2022. During high school, I participated in numerous church-based service projects including making care packages and prepping meals for those in need. Following Jesus’ example, I believe in the importance of inclusivity and recognize the need for its presence in the church; I would be incredibly honored to serve as a young adult advisory delegate at the 2024 General Assembly.”
