From the General Presbyter
I am reading Joyce Meyer’s daily meditations on scripture entitled “New Day, New You.” One entry was about the old adage “Between a rock and a hard place.”
I think many of us feel that way in light of regathering pressures, COVID-19, the political climate and our daily grind. Who do you listen to? What do you believe? Who is right in the regathering conversations? What is the role of the church on racial justice issues? Needless to say, many are highly frustrated and even distraught and exhausted.
Meyers opened my eyes with a simple assertion. What if the “rock” was God? So if you are “between a rock and a hard place” you are between your dilemma and God.
Now how do you feel?
