Holiday Craft and Vendor Sale, 9 am – 2 pm – Perry Hall Presbyterian Church hosts a Christmas Bazaar with great holiday gifts that support your local crafters and vendors. Have your photo taken with the Grinch between 11:00am – 1:00pm.
Sunday, December 10
Candlelight Choral Concert @ 4pm – The First & Franklin Sanctuary Choir, directed by Jason Kissel, will present their annual Candlelight Choral Concert. This yearly tradition celebrates the holiday season with choral music including Vivaldi’s Gloria with Baroque ensemble and carols. We also welcome gifted harpist and friend of the choir Jacqueline Pollauf. Join us in the glow of the candlelight to revel in music, beauty, and the joy of Christmas. Advent Lessons and Carols @10 am – First Presbyterian Church of Howard County hosts a unique worship service focused on readings and music especially for Advent as we await the birth of the Messiah. This event will also be livestreamed on our Facebook and YouTube pages.
Cocoa and Carols @ 6pm – Catonsville Presbyterian Church – This outdoor event will include a brass quintet, plenty of hot chocolate, and an even warmer sense of connection between neighbors and friends. This family-friendly gathering is completely free, non-ticketed, and open to everyone who loves singing (or listening!). Be sure to bundle up and meet us at the bottom of the steeple for this annual community celebration.
Christmas Concert @ 4pm – Bethel Presbyterian Church – Come listen to Bethel’s own Christine Capozzoli singing Soprano; Kay Ikemoto playing piano and the Lux Choir. A light dinner will be served after concert. Please RSVP to church office 410-692-5282 or churchoffice@bethel-md.org
Jingle and Mingle Annual Advent Dinner @ 5 pm – Hosted by Christ Our King Presbyterian Church
Christmas Celebration and Cookie Swap, at Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church – Bring a few dozen cookies to share and take some home after the worship service, make crafts and have some hot beverages.
Christmas Concert, Sounds of the Season, 4 pm at Grove Presbyterian Church. This concert will feature the Grove Choir and Friends, Zoe Coppola (harp and piano), Elizabeth LaDana (flute) and members of the Lancaster Marimba Ensemble. All are invited to this free event celebrating the birth of our Savior.
Music Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis – The Chancel Choir will offer special song at both morning services, and 2nd@5 features the Naptown Brass Band in the courtyard (sanctuary if inclement).
Ashland Holiday Caroling @ 6 pm- Ashland Presbyterian Church – This is our first joint activity for members of the Ashland Community and the members of Ashland Presbyterian Church! Join us to admire Ashland’s beautiful decorations and sing along to old favorites. All voices are welcome! Caroling will start at the Ashland neighborhood gatehouse. After some singing, we will warm up across the street with hot cocoa and cookies in the Ashland Presbyterian’s historic sanctuary.

A Blue Christmas Service at Noon in First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis‘ Shaw Chapel. This intimate service is for anyone who is struggling or who finds this season to be difficult, for a variety of reasons. The pain and sorrow of our lives will be lifted up even amidst the joy and hope of this season. Rev. Mihee Kim-Kort will lead this service.

Children’s Christmas Pageant, 10:30 am at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County
Orotario de Noël presented by the Govans Chancel Choir @ 10:30 am at Govans Presbyterian Church – Join us for the Chancel Choir’s performance of Oratorio de Noël (Christmas Oratorio) by Camille Saint-Saëns. You will also get to hear some of the singers in our choir featured as soloists: Jocelyn Taylor, Nerissa Paglinauan, David Willerup, Karl Starks, and Colin Johnson! You might recognize this composer, for he wrote the famous Carnival of the Animal pieces, most notable of which is “The Swan.” Saint-Saëns also composed the famous “Danses Macabre.”

Hops and Hymns, 6-8 pm – Join Faith Presbyterian Church to sing your favorite carols while enjoying Peabody Heights’ best brews. Everyone is welcome at Peabody Heights Brewery, 301 E. 30th Street.

Caroling by the Fire @ 6pm – Roland Park Presbyterian Church – Join us on our front lawn for an enchanting evening of caroling under the starry sky! Gather around the warm glow of a crackling fire pit, sip on hot chocolate, and fill the air with festive tunes. It’s a magical way to celebrate the spirit of the season!
Longest Night Service @ 7 pm – First Presbyterian Church of Howard County

Winter Solstice Labyrinth Walk @ 6:30 pm- at Govans Presbyterian Church: A time to acknowledge darkness and to notice the undying light within. Bring a flashlight and a warm coat as we walk into the center of the ancient labyrinth and walk back out again. Light a candle in the center as a sign of your hopes for the coming year.

Christmas Caroling in the neighborhood. 7 pm – Depart from parking lot at Hunting Ridge Presbyterian and walk through the neighborhood and return for hot cocoa and goodies!
