From the General Presbyter

There is a sign in front of the Episcopal Diocesan office that says, “Stay Calm, Stay Connected, Stay Church.” I love it! My favorite part of this message lies in its present tense – “stay”. It does not presume to identify calm behaviors, or assert how to be connected or even better, it does not boast of a definition of church. That’s up to each of us to determine.
I am certain that plans are underway to address these abovementioned terms technically. Maybe you purchased a better camera, enlisted someone to monitor the livestream and roped off the pews again for the anticipated rise in holiday attendance. What about taking some time to ponder what it means to be calm, connected and church emotionally, spiritually, joyfully?
