Registration is open for 2021’s final Gathering of the Presbytery of Baltimore, Thursday, October 21st, at 10 am. We respect your time, and as usual for our online meetings, we will keep the business brief. Be sure to join us as we elect our 2022 General Assembly Commissioners, preview the budget, and receive updates on The Center, the 2022 Triennium, and more.
Our time for worship will be devoted to God’s Earth, featuring Avery Davis Lamb, Public Theologian and Co Executive Director of Creation Justice Ministries. We will also again be blessed with the Music of Lea Gilmore and Billy Kluttz of Govans Presbyterian Church.
** Communion will be celebrated, so please have bread and wine/juice ready **
The ever-popular “Lunch Bunch” will ensue afterwards for catching up with friends and colleagues, and several conversation groups at 1:00 will host discussions on topics such as:
– Officer Training with Jennifer Barchi
– Video Streaming Q&A with Mat May, Mark Hanna, Morton Harris and Presbytery staff.
– The Moral Weight of COP26: Faithful Influence at the UN Climate Meeting with Avery Davis Lamb and Karyn Bigelow, Co-Executive Directors, Creation Justice Ministries. In early November, world leaders will meet in Glasgow to decide how they will respond to the global climate crisis. This meeting holds moral weight for our world; its results will impact the health and wellbeing of God’s people and planet for decades. Join this workshop to learn more about what is happening at COP26 and how faith communities can call on our leaders to take just and equitable climate action.
